infoSECTION 5: CHARACTER CONDUCT

Your character’s behavior defines the realism of the world around them. Every decision should reflect fear, self-preservation, and logical thinking — reckless or exploitative behavior breaks immersion and will result in disciplinary action.

5.01 – VALUE OF LIFE

Tier 3 Violation Your character must fear for their life in dangerous situations. If someone has a firearm aimed at you, you are expected to comply unless you already have a weapon drawn and positioned to act defensively. Being surrounded or outnumbered should always result in valuing survival over heroics — ignoring this is considered No Value of Life (NVL).

5.02 – HOSTAGE & KIDNAPPING RULES

Tier 3 Violation

  • Kidnapping or holding law enforcement hostage must have a valid backstory and clear roleplay justification.

  • Hostages may not be used solely to gain leverage in robberies (banks, stores, etc.) without narrative buildup.

  • Hostage situations cannot exceed 45 minutes unless organically extended through ongoing negotiations or escalation.

  • Once medical personnel arrive, they must be allowed to perform their duties without interference.

5.03 – VIOLENCE & CHAOS INITIATION

Tier 3 Violation Violence should always be a last resort, not a default action. Characters are encouraged to resolve situations through negotiation, intimidation, or strategy before resorting to lethal or chaotic measures. Senseless violence will lead to increased law enforcement attention and stricter punishments.

5.04 – FORGETTING DEATH SCENE KNOWLEDGE

Tier 3 Violation Any details or information obtained from a scene where your character died must be forgotten entirely. You cannot return to participate in that scenario, pursue revenge, or use intel from the previous life. This aligns with New Life Rule (NLR)standards.

5.05 – INJURING OR OBSTRUCTING MEDICAL PERSONNEL

Tier 3 Violation Targeting medical staff (EMS) is prohibited. This includes:

  • Injuring or killing medics who are actively providing aid.

  • Preventing EMS from treating players by blocking scenes or harassing staff. Medical personnel exist to serve roleplay flow — impeding them is immersion-breaking and will not be tolerated.

5.06 – EXCESSIVE TORTURE ROLEPLAY

Tier 4 Violation Extreme torture roleplay requires explicit consent from all participants. At any point, if a player requests to stop, the roleplay must immediately end. Violating this standard will result in severe disciplinary action, regardless of “in-character” justification.

5.07 – MULTI-CHARACTER BUSINESS EMPLOYMENT

Tier 4 Violation You may not work for the same business on multiple characters. This prevents financial exploitation, conflict of interest, and immersion issues. Business owners cannot use their company to funnel money between their own characters (e.g., hiring alt characters to move funds).

5.08 – CUSTOM PED ROLEPLAY

Tier 2 Violation Players using custom peds must fully roleplay the identity chosen:

  • Animal peds must act like animals — no human speech or unrealistic actions.

  • Specialized character models must portray believable behavior tied to their appearance. Peds are locked to your chosen character; switching or removing requires staff approval.
