Bets and wagers can enhance roleplay but must always be fair, documented, and in-character. Any misuse of betting systems or attempts to involve real-world currency are considered severe violations and will result in immediate staff action.

21.1 – DEFINITION OF BETTING

Bets are defined as any agreed exchange of in-game currency, items, or services based on the outcome of an in-character event (e.g., street races, card games, shooting contests).

Valid examples:

  • Wagering in-game cash or items on a race or sporting event.

  • Agreeing to a contest (e.g., boxing match) where the loser pays the winner.

  • Friendly bets over minor RP outcomes (e.g., dice rolls, coin flips).

21.2 – PROHIBITION OF REAL-WORLD BETTING

Tier 7 Violation (Permanent Ban – Non-Appealable)

  • Any bet involving real-world currency, gift cards, or external payment platforms is forbidden.

  • Attempting to exchange real money for in-game currency, items, or results is treated as real-world trading (RWT)and will result in permanent removal from the community.

21.3 – DOCUMENTING BETS

To avoid disputes, all bets must be clearly agreed upon and provable:

  • Confirm terms verbally in roleplay and/or through in-game text (/me, /do).

  • Optional: Capture screenshots or clips for additional clarity.

  • Staff cannot enforce bets without proof of agreed terms.

21.4 – FAILURE TO HONOR BETS

Tier 1 → Escalates to Tier 8 for repeat violations Players who fail to honor legitimate bets will face progressive discipline:

  • 1st Infraction: Tier 1 (Warning)

  • 2nd Infraction: Tier 3 (3-Day Ban)

  • 3rd Infraction: Tier 8 (Character Wipe – Non-Appealable)

Intentional scams (e.g., never intending to pay) may escalate directly to Tier 6 or higher.

21.5 – PROHIBITED BETTING BEHAVIOR

Tier 4 Violation

  • Forcing or coercing other players into unwanted bets.

  • Making unverifiable bets (e.g., “I bet you weren’t there earlier”).

  • Exploiting OOC knowledge or metagaming to influence betting outcomes.

21.6 – STAFF DISCRETION

Staff reserve the right to void bets or enforce consequences if:

  • Bets involve prohibited items (e.g., purchased assets).

  • Terms are unclear, unfair, or undocumented.

  • The wager disrupts roleplay flow or violates other rules.
