infoSECTION 4: INJURY CONDUCT

Roleplay surrounding injuries must reflect realism and respect for immersion. Failing to portray wounds accurately, circumventing medical systems, or disregarding the new life rule undermines the serious roleplay standard expected on ImpulseRP.

4.01 – NEW LIFE RULE (NLR)

Tier 3 Violation When your character is incapacitated (“downed”), they are not automatically dead. Paramedics or hospital care may revive them. However, if you choose to respawn instead of receiving medical treatment, your character will forget all details leading up to the incident — including names, events, and motivations.

Additional NLR restrictions:

  • You must wait a minimum of 15 minutes before returning to the scene after medical revival or respawn.

  • You may not rejoin active combat or continue conflicts related to the incident after revival.

  • Returning immediately to “finish a fight” violates immersion and will result in disciplinary action.

4.02 – INJURY ROLEPLAY & REALISTIC REACTIONS

Tier 2 Violation (Escalates if repeated or intentional) When injured, you are expected to portray pain, trauma, and limitations realistically. For example:

  • If shot in the leg, you should limp or be unable to sprint.

  • If severely wounded, crawling or collapsing is expected rather than continuing to fight.

EMS and Law Enforcement Protocols:

  • Combat medics and paramedics must provide realistic aftercare (e.g., crutches or wheelchairs) based on injury severity.

  • Civilians revived from critical states must continue portraying their injuries until properly healed through roleplay.

Circumvention:

  • Ignoring assigned medical limitations (e.g., discarding crutches) or using exploits to bypass injury mechanics is considered exploitation (Tier 7 Violation) and will result in an immediate ban.
