infoSECTION 8: PRIVATE SECURITY & PROTECTION POLICIES

Businesses are permitted to hire private security to safeguard their property and ensure safety for employees and customers. However, security operations must be regulated, documented, and compliant with city laws and roleplay standards.

8.1 – Authorization to Employ Security

  • Businesses may contract either licensed security companies or individual guards employed by those companies.

  • Independent (non-affiliated) security personnel are not permitted — all hired guards must belong to an approved security organization.

8.2 – Security-to-Employee Ratio

  • To maintain realistic scaling, businesses may employ one security guard for every five active employees.

  • Example: A business with 20 employees may have a maximum of 4 active security personnel.

8.3 – Weapon Regulations for Security Staff

  • Security personnel may only carry legal firearms and equipment recognized by city law.

  • Illegal weapons or excessive military-grade equipment are strictly prohibited for business defense.

8.4 – Uniform & Identification Requirements

  • All on-duty security staff must wear clearly identifiable uniforms or security vests.

  • This ensures law enforcement and civilians can distinguish legitimate security from armed individuals during incidents.

8.5 – Roleplay Standards for Security Operations

  • Security is expected to prioritize de-escalation and non-lethal methods when possible.

  • Excessive force, intimidation, or abuse of authority will result in penalties for both the employee and the hiring business.

  • All defensive incidents involving security must be reportable and justifiable in case of staff review.
