infoSECTION 5: OPERATIONAL ACTIVITY & INACTIVITY

Businesses are expected to contribute meaningfully to city life and provide consistent opportunities for roleplay. Inactivity or abandonment disrupts the economy and may result in penalties or repossession.

5.1 – Active Participation Requirement

  • Business owners must actively participate in city life and dedicate sufficient roleplay time to managing their enterprise.

  • Ownership must remain on the owner’s main character/account — alternate characters (“cousins”) cannot act as primary owners.

  • Occasional breaks are acceptable, but extended inactivity without notice will trigger review by Business Management.

5.2 – Consequences for Inactive Businesses

  • If a business is found to be inactive or failing to operate at a reasonable standard (e.g., rarely open, no staff engagement), Business Management may impose penalties escalating with repeated violations:

Penalty Escalation:

  • 1st Offense: $50,000 fine (in-game currency) + activity warning

  • 2nd Offense: $150,000 fine + mandatory review with Business Management

  • 3rd Offense: Business is repossessed (ownership revoked and reissued)

(Fines are scaled to reflect ImpulseRP’s slower-burn economy while still encouraging active management.)

5.3 – Permanent Inactivity or Owner Departure

  • If the original purchaser (verified by Tebex receipt) permanently leaves the city or is inactive for an extended period, the business will:

    • Be repossessed by Business Management

    • Undergo a complete economic wipe (funds and stashes cleared)

    • Be placed back on the market for new ownership

  • Any unauthorized sale of the business for in-game currency after confirmed inactivity will be treated as a scam and may trigger a personal asset audit and possible bans for involved parties.
