infoSECTION 7: BUSINESS DEFENSE & SAFE ZONE REGULATIONS

Business owners and their security teams have the right to protect their property and employees — but must do so within city laws and server roleplay standards. The rules for defensive actions vary depending on whether the business is located in a normal zone or a designated Green Zone (Safe Zone).

7.1 – Defensive Rights Outside Green Zones

  • Businesses not located in a Green Zone may defend their property if properly initiated.

  • Defensive actions must follow realistic escalation — starting with de-escalation and ending with lethal force only when absolutely necessary.

7.2 – Escalation Procedure for Defense

If a threat occurs on business property (outside a Green Zone), owners or security staff must:

  1. Attempt De-escalation – Calm the individual and resolve the situation peacefully.

  2. Contact Law Enforcement – Call police services and wait 3–5 minutes for arrival.

  3. Remove Without Lethal Force – Attempt verbal removal or non-lethal measures.

  4. Brandish Weapon – Display a firearm if the threat continues.

  5. Lethal Force as Last Resort – Only permitted if life is in immediate danger and previous steps failed.

7.3 – Lethal Force Restrictions

  • Lethal force may only be used if:

    • The aggressor poses a direct threat to life.

    • Police have been called and fail to arrive within 3–5 minutes.

    • The aggressor refuses to leave after warnings and escalation steps are followed.

7.4 – Green Zone (Safe Zone) Limitations

  • Businesses inside Green Zones cannot use lethal force under any circumstance.

  • Green Zones prohibit criminal activity entirely; weapons cannot be drawn or used in these areas.

  • Using Green Zones to flee or hide from active roleplay (e.g., combat or police chases) is considered powergaming and will result in punishment.

7.5 – Reasoning Behind Safe Zone Rules

  • Safe Zones exist to promote peaceful RP hubs (e.g., hospitals, courthouses) rather than combat zones.

  • Allowing lethal force or crime in these areas would undermine the purpose of Green Zones and encourage unrealistic exploitation.
